Boy oh boy am I ever glad April is finally over (in 30 minutes that is); clearly the worst (financially speaking) month Secret! University has had since it's beginning. I have a couple of good friends (who don't lie to me) that are in the training sector as well, who tell me a similar story. Yep, we're in a housing depression alright - and fortunately in a year or so it will start to improve! We all do see however, that we're getting our brains spammed to death by the 'big-boys' in this training arena - a signal they too are seeing this slow-down too. Hopefully May will improve; I trust our newsletter going out tomorrow will kick up some dust, as usual.

Going to a Dodger game tonight to watch our First Place Dodgers beat the snot out of the 'second place' Arizona D-backs ... they're giving away a Dodger fleece-lined blankets to the first 50,000 in attendance - so we'll get there plenty early to eat our hot dogs and pick up our blankets!

So far this month 173 people have visited the Free Lesson page on our main website; it has been my wish that many hundreds of people in the industry would take the time to check it out, since it contains some pretty good information which most probably don't know - and it's complimentary too! I plugged in a pitch to 'see it,' inside our May 1st newsletter, hope that will increase the traffic to that particular page. As a general statement, I'm happy with our SEO efforts and the amount of 'organic traffic' we receive from google; of course it could always be better, but I'm pleased fo rnow.

And speaking of website traffic, earlier this week I took the delibrate action to remove myself from making further comments inside several industry discussion boards - whos various members have accounted for almost 20% of our site traffic - I have been an active participate in several of these for more than 7 years now, and I have seen a consistant theme with most of them, which is that they are generally inhabited by younger Type A personality inexperienced salesmen type know-it-alls. That animal has developed into being very adept at 'typing to communicate' and they frequently utilize those boards as a 'place to play' - at my age and years of experience I have found myself, time and time again, on the wrong side of what that crowd thinks of our industry. I also picked up the fact that others of MY peers, were never there trying to help the masses and interact with them. Even though there was a lot of positive things realized; there were more negatives in my mind to continue in that venue.

Our May newsletter is gonna be a 'barn-burner', loads of good information in this one - I hope you like it.

Our last Master Seminar (this past Saturday) went well. I discussed the mess out there with the non-conforming wholesalers and Wall Street, and what an originator should do this next year or so, to dodge the bullet and survive that train-wreck. The reception went well.

Our Los Angeles Dodger's have started off the season on a high note, I like the team roster EXCEPT for the 3rd base player, Valdez should be the starter there without any doubt!

Spending the rest of this week, putting the finishing touches on our May 1st free Newsletter.

Thought I had better check-in, since it's been several days since I was here. My best long-time friend of 30+ years Ron Boyer, passed away one year ago this last Saturday; I miss him a lot.

The week at work continued to be very slow, still getting a good number of visitors to our main wesbsite who look around, etc. except unlike normally, very few phoned or e-mailed me with subsequent questions and whatnot, and even less than that pick up any of our materials or services. All arocss the industry, biz is extreemly slow, and most industry vendor/suppliers I speak with tell me this same story.

Our LA Dodgers are looking good this season; we have a Master Seminar - http://www.americasmoneycenter.com/conversation.htm - scheduled for all day this coming Saturday, a small group - but that suits me fine. Need to be sure our CD Lesson's inventory is all up to date, usually some of the attendees pick up several of them ('cause we have them on sale that day!).

Business is real slow at Secret! University, in fact last month was a record! The worst I have seen. As I have spoken to folks about trainig lately, they all tell me they're focusing on their survival, making it through next week - no thoughts about utilziing what we could provide to improve their careers. However, like I always say ... this too shall pass.

During this Easter Holiday season, may you and your family all enjoy peace and good will.

Spent the week-end upgrading the shopping cart on our main website, to bring it into line with what's customary on other sites. Got our April newsletter out on time today, an today was Opening Day for Dodger Baseball (we lost)! I'm hopeful the team will do well this season, I like the current line up. Also today, several of our CD mortgage lessons went on sale on the ASMB website; their owner wanted to expand his 'book store' so I offered him a few of ours.
